I heard about this earlier today. Seems that everyone on the internet already knows about it.

What's the worst that I can say?

Things are better if I stay

So long and goodnight

So long and goodnight

Well if you carry on this way

Things are better if I stay

So long and goodnight

So long and goodnight

Can you hear me?

Are you near me?

Do we deserve, to leave the earth

we'll meet again

When both our hearts collide

Oh irony of ironies. I think though, that we can honestly say that "This is how he would have wanted to go."

yeah my sister told me about it this morning. I was surprised that it was a sting ray that killed him but it literally got him in the heart is what I read. It's crazy but I agree with TJ this is probably the way he would have wanted to go. I also feel bad for his kids and his wife, but especially the kids.

She's so big hearted

but not so remarkable

just an ordinary humble girl

expecting nothing as we may

to think it's a pretty person's worth

you are beautiful

and you'd better go show it

so go and look again

you gotta be true only if you really wanna go to the top and you really wanna win

don't believe in living normal

just to satisfy demand

Well, if you wanna get free

and if wanna get smart by the sake of your heart

you should own your lame and stand up tall

I think about that day after day. And even if he did make mistakes that he'd regret in the end (Don't we all?!), he was a good guy and loved what he did. He did it because it was his life. What a way to go. Really. Just the other day, I was thinking, too, that he was gonna end up dying from a crocodile or something.

I think he died too soon. : (

Steve Irwin was an IDIOT playing with animals like he did, i mean these werent household pets, not like you can train them to take the liverwurst bite out of your hand, they were wild unpredictable animals. I am seriously surprised he lasted as long as he did i was forsure he would be killed by a crocodile though, the stingray was a bit un-expected.

Most people WERE shocked that it was a sting ray. I'll have to find the video online of a man who is expert on sharks and sting rays. They say there's about 2-4 deaths a year, and you'll find that one that just doesn't like to be bothered. It's really not that he was an idiot. I don't think some of the stuff he did was all that great, but seriously. He wanted to teach everyone about animals. He loved them. That was how he was brought up- into an environment that was surrounded by them. People are taking risks everyday on their own. Forget playing around with animals. It's like telling THEM not to do what they wanna do. Everyone takes risks.

He owned a Zoo. I'm surprised by how long he lived too, but also a bit disappointed it wasn't longer. He was only 44.
