I dont wish to offend anyone, so i will just say that at 7:05pm PST time Saddam Hussein was executed.

Actually, it was a few minutes before 7:00pm PST. But yeah, he's dead.

Ah yeah. I guess Al Arabiyah was saying he was excuted a few minutes before the hour. And perhaps his death was pronounced at 5 after. That perhaps would make more sense.

It disgusts me that they're showing his final moments on television. It was broadcast all day here and I just think its obscene.

All they are showing is him being led to the gallows. He talks with the hangmen, who are hooded. The wrapped a cloth or something around his neck and lead him to the trap door. The then place the noose around his neck, he doesnt get a hood.

I heard that he was never offered one because he never allowed anyone he had hung a hood, so they didnt give him that option either.

Sadaam had it coming - but i disagree on Hitler what he did was absolutely terrible and it is horrific to even think about but the difference between Sadaam and Hitler is that hitler was mentally ill and didnt have alot of mental capacity or control left when he gained power and started his evil attempt to create the aryan race.

I think that death was too good for Hussein, though I am very glad he is no longer a threat. But personally I have never agreed with the death penalty. But Hussein had to go I suppose.

There's very limited proof to that, as some will confirm it, and others will deny it, and proper tests were not conducted at the time (to my knolodge) that prove or disprove the validity of this claim.



Then by that same theory, Saddam may have been mentally unstable as well. Either way, he was being punished for the deaths of 148 people. Sane or insane, that is still a crime.
