Mozilla

Post by Breathe_In_For_Luck7 »

When I use Mozilla now the screen keeps on wiggling up and down, like someone is using scroll really fast. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it twice but it keeps doing it. I don't know what's wrong with it or how to fix it.

hey i don't know why mozilla is doing that ~ usually when the screen does that it is b/c there is something (usually electronics) that are messing up the electircal current in the computer - for instance a cell phone that is sitting too close will do it (especially when it rings)...

so if you have electronics by your computer that could cause it . ..

Actually I don't, and it's been doing this for days now. It's a brand new computer too (I just got it Friday), so I hope it's not something wrong with my computer.

Mine used to do that too - it was SO irritating. I don't remember how we fixed it, either - but I feel your pain! Lol.

Do any other internet browsers work? You might have to work in IE or whatever other browser you have until you can figure out how to fix it.

Tools, Options

Advanced tab

Play with the Browser settings - use autoscrolling and use smooth scrolling

Try toggling them or trying different combinations

let me know

What is "toggling"? I tried it with neither, auto, smooth, and then both and it's still shaking.

Toggling = Turning it on and off.

And if i were you, i'd set it to Smooth. What version of firefox are you using?

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3

When I put it on smooth it was still shaking. Do you think it could be because I have Vista?

I've seen that before. It's probably because you are running generic drivers that don't have very good 3D support. The basic drivers are always like that. What kind of video card are you running? You will need to install some good XP drivers through the Vista system that allows you to use Windows XP drivers if there are no native Vista ones available yet. If it seems to go slower the faster you scroll the mouse wheel on a long web page, then it's most likely the problem I described.
