"it"

Post by Adnama »

Billy Gilman sings some of the most bueatiful songs, and one of the ones on his "Mustic though Heartsongs" cd is realy... wow. This song could probably mean alot of different things to alot of different people, but to me, it hit me hardest as talking about depression. This is a really cool song:

"Possession"

One of my greatest fears is "it."

I cant touch it, but i can feel it.

It dose not have a taste or smell,

but i can hear it, in my spirt.

chorus:

Its is deep inside of me,

it makes me fear my memory

one day i'll live peacefully,

Without the fear of "it"

It is something i cant see

it can never possess me

it is something i cant see

it always tries to take control

i can defeat it if i believe it

Chorus

It keeps running though my mind,

i have to fight it time and time

and time and time and time

and time again...

chorus

the more i understand about it,

the less my world revolves around it

then i can just live out my life,

with out the fear of "it".

That kinda discribes exactly what i go though with my depression, and i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one. If you can get that song, then get it, cause its just like... whoa...
"It's just not the same when you're staring into a perfect golden sunset,

And thinking about how you sold your soul to send the rain away"

-Mineral "Slower"

"And the very fear that makes you want to die

Is just the same as what keeps you alive..."

-Barenaked Ladies, "War on drugs"
