And for all of those who want one but don't have one....if at all possible...you should go for it...

My parents REFUSED to let me get one...but when I turned 18, I said screw it...I went and got one....

but let me tell you....if you are afraid of needles....you should definitely prepare yourself....

I went to get mine done with my friend....and decided that I should go first...because if she screamed or cried or anything...i would definitely change my mind and end up not doing it...so i went first...he dried my tongue....put the clamps on....started pulling out the needle from the sterilization package...started counting, and stuck it in......and I uh....well...lol....when he got it halfway through my tongue....i jerked my tongue back in my mouth.....(natural reaction) and the needle was forced back out of my tongue....so my tongue starts gushing blood....and he tells me that he needs to hurry and stick it through so that he could get the jewelry in so that it would stop bleeding.....so i nodded, and he went for it....stuck the needle in....got the tongue ring in....and it was overwith......it was the most horrible experience of my lifetime.....but it was all worth it.....i couldnt eat for about 2 weeks....and i couldnt talk where you could understand me for about 3 days....but finally the pain went away.....and now.....im so happy with it....and i would do it all over again.....

i know thats not a very encouraging story...but i just thought i would share just to let you know that a little bit (or a lot, lol) of pain is all worth it in the end if a tongue piercing is something that you really want......

SO GO FOR IT !!!!!!

(and the deal with my parents....once they found out i had done it....they let me keep it because they knew that i dint just go and do everything in complete disobedience just because i want it.....they realized that this was something that i really really wanted and it was important to me...and they were proud of me for going for it.......)

Personally, I think they are disgusting. Think of all the nasty food that gets stuck in the hole, bacteria and infections, Ack!

Personally, again, it kinda makes me gag to think of kissing someone with a tongue ring.
