Microsoft/PC Vs. Apple/Mac

Post by RSanchez15 »

Well I am buying an Apple Mac here in a few days (thus my expected downtime) and well, I was wondering who likes what. Is PC better than MAC or is it the other way around? If you don't know, Just vote what you think. :D I wonder if this will become a popular topic.

Personally I think the PC is better, but after looking at the system specs for the new G5, I'm not sure about that.

I think it depends entirely on what you're using it for.

Mac's make great multimedia developement machines, but they're simply not viable gaming platforms. I think PC's are better for everyday use and gaming, not to mention being far cheaper if you assemble your own.

Macs are so much betteter....they suced a few years ago but now they rock!!! with itunes, idvd (you can make dvds) and all that other junk plus everything a PC has...plus the sleek design i don't understand why anyone has a PC...except that they're cheaper....i mean i'm writing this on a Dell because my Mac broke ( i droped it in water....it was a laptop) and this one is HUGE...and slow and freezes and its the newest ones out there.....XP or wahtever....... Macs are way worth it!

Macs sux0r, unless you're in the creative arts (we make fun of my band directors macs all the time). PCs are so much more versatile, so much more compatible with...everything. Yes, Mac has the new G5, but unless you want to sell your family into slavery I doubt you're going to have your hands on one. As for sleek design, the thing with a PC is that you could build it up from scratch. I've seen cases that have floating fish in the side, cases made out of beer kegs, cases made out of those plastic crates... Mac can't run a lot of excellent programs for PC.

Also, PC does NOT equal Windows. As soon as I get PartitionMagic delivered, this machine is SO running Linux. Well. I'll keep XP, but it will also have Linux.

I'm a PC person, and I utterly despise Apple. There are only too good things in their product line up. The iPods and iTunes, which let you buy MP3s for a 1$. Their advertisments for the G5 are an outright lie, a text book example of false advertising. First 64bit machine to the market my buttocks.

Also, I dislike MS and Windows. Linux is where its going to at in a few years. :D
