A Book Forum

Post by FallonCeceAda »

I think it would be awsome to have a book forum, I was just looking for one, and its not here....unless i don't see it, then I feel completely and totally embarassed.
I was talking to God, and I asked him

"God why don't you create a scientist who can find the cure for AIDS/HIV and Cancer? Why can't you send a leader to give world peace?"

You know what God said?

"I did, but you all killed them in the womb."

Only you would ask for a Book forum. :P

And no, there isn't already one.

But books don't really have anything to do with this being a "help" website, so I really don't see a point.

Maybe we could start some pinned topics in the forums, where we can post books that are about that subject. For example, in the relationship forum, we could pin a topic and we can post any intressting books we have read about relationships. Same works for any of the other forums. I don't really think thats what you ment though, but it would be a way that it could be about help. I dunno, I was just thinking.
I'm a moderator of the Family/Friends forum, and Relationships! If you ever need help with anything, feel free to email, IM, or PM me.

For those of you wondering what my name means, here it is. The XC stands for Cross Country, because I run cross country and I run distance in track for my school. And Sabreur because I fence sabre in my spare time. And no, its not a lightsabre.

And if anyone else here fences or runs cross country or track, PM me ! we should talk sometime, I love running and fencing :D

I think a book forum or something would be good....like under Chit-Chat
It's the little things that make a big difference.

True... books really don't have anything to do with helping someone, but neither do movies or the other chit-chat stuff.

I think a book forum would be really cool! :kid:

General Rule:

12. Making a post that either bumps a topic or adds no new information to it will NOT be tolerated. For example Posting "I don't know what to tell you" or just "lol" is not allowed. Another action that is prohibited is digging up topics that have long since died down unless you have something to add to them that is valid. The only exception to this rule is the Chit-Chat forum. The Chit-Chat forum is the only place you are allowed to do this. All topics that go astray from the original subject too much, will be considered for trimming, moving or being split into two topics. If you have something to say unrelated to the topic, but want it to be said, please feel free to create a new topic in the appropriate forum.
I wanna try that pill that people take

Make you believe all the things that people say

Sick of shuckin' 'round with a screwed up face

With my heels dug in trying to leave a trace

Now come on put me down somehow

How you lose your faith

Just take my hand and lead me where you wanna

Neither does Chit Chat, fashion, entertainment, etc.

I think a book forum is a really good idea.
Whatever our failings may be, we need not lower our eyes in the presence of Jesus...Jesus comes not for the super-spiritual but for the wobbly and the weak-kneed who know they don't have it all together, and who are not too proud to accept the handout of amazing grace. As we glance up, we are astonished to find the eyes of Jesus open with wonder, deep with understanding, and gentle with compassion.

Ummmm... the book worm side of me thinks that would be a really good idea, but like, the practical part of me thinks that books would be best under Entertainment.
