Death/mourning

Post by Michie » Wed Jun 09, 2004 12:33 am

I saw this kind of forum in another website and I was wondering...should we get one here...for those who have lost loved ones and such? Idk...just that there are people who do lose ppl they love and maybe they want to express it in a forum.

Just a thought I had.

I like the idea but for some reason it was a bad idea because people would add that their friend killed themselves and that would give people who were thinking about suicide an idea.. That was the only problem supposidly with a memorial of some sorts or expressing death. But I think we should have a fourm on it just highly moderated for things like that

no offence but i dont think thats a good idea, not a lot of people are very found of death and infact, most people dont even like to talk about it. not a lot of people would be interested ..not trying to be negitive or anything

There used to be a death/grieving forum but those sorts of places don't get used all that often. I've found it works well on other sites though.

We have a mourning forum. It's called "Why Me!"

The problem with memory forums is that people posting in suicide fill it up with their own names..

I still think we should have a death forum, as 'Why Me?' is more like a venting forum. It may not be used as much, but death affects everyone, sadly enough...

I think it would be a good idea, but it would hurt people feelings to see other people who might say bad things about that situation.

I think its a good idea Steph. I know I wouldve liked one for when things have happened to me this past year. I didnt post about it cuz I didnt want to put it in a forum like family/friends which is also used for little arguements...it just didnt seem right somehow.

I like the idea..you have my support! :D

I think it's a super idea!

I had a good friend die in the seventh grade because his house caught on fire and another friend my sophomore year in a car accident. That was hard, but it was easier to get over because I could talk about it with people. It also helps for me to be able to write about it. So yeah, it's good.

when i first came to this site it was becuase my brother died and i was depressed about it. I really wish there had been a forum pecifically for death and mourning becuase it makes you feel like your problem isnt important when you have to post under another subject. The least this site could do is put a subcategory under friends and family or why me specifically for this subject. I think it is an important subject and one that alot of people really have to talk about.
