Mods are welcome to ask for more help if they need it. As long as that person meets the criteria for being a mod. If Four wants another mod of drugs hes welcoem to ask for one.

Jeff does have great experience with the topic, once he gets a break in his life and has more free time he would make a great mod for the forum. Drugs/Alcohol rarely needs moderation, just advice mostly. And to do that you don't really need to be a moderator.

Moderators should really be people who have experience in that specific area though.. not just paper shufflers.

<span style=\'font-family:Times\'Something told the wild geese

It was tine to go

Through the fields lay golden

Something wispered- "SNOW"

Leaves were green and stirring

Berries,luster-glossed

But beneath the warm feathers

Something cautioned- "FROST"

All the sagging orchards

Steamed With amber spice

But each wild breast stiffened

At rembered ice

Something told the wild geese

It was time to fly-

Summer sun was on their wings

Winter in their cry

What's the big deal about being a mod?

So you can delete and edit topics and maybe you have a little power.

But all in all it seems just like member to me.

Well, what I think can happen is we give the currnt mods who have more than 1 fourm a chance to pick the 1 fourm they rally wanna stay in, like i'd give up depression to fruitloop or something, that way there can be a chance to give other great canidates for mods a turn at moding.........just my thoughts.

I don't realy understand what the big fuss is about Mods and their forms. if the mods couldn't handel it, they would tell us. Mods are just in there to watch the forms, not actually post. Anyone can post advice, mods are jsut there to clean up messes and oppies. I'm realy just want to say "If it dosen't really concern you, then DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT" Geeze. If somethign isn't broke, DO NOT fix it.

I just think that nobody should worry on who is Mods and such just because I think we're only here to help people and stuff, right? Well, my opinion sticks. I really don' t care WHAT I am at the moment. Member is fine with me...

no. as cindy said, the forums are going great right now by the people modding them. just because others want to moderate doesn't mean that you all should try to screw it up for those of us who already do. i luv ya heart, but that was a really bad idea.

Actually, there really isn't a reason why some people are mod-ing more than 1 forum.

Alot of people go by what mods say and what's the point of TEENhelp if only one or two peoples opinions are coming in.

Especiallly with Sex, sex, sex.. There are 4 girls modding that forum, get some guys in there with their opinions. Also, 3 of those girls mod somewhere else, so it's not like it's going to hurt them if they get dropped.

blah. no fair. it pisses me off when people diss my job, or try to change it. i love modding every single forum that i do. it is not hard on me, and i do not want to be dropped for the sake of new mods (that ARE NOT needed). i worked hard to get modding jobs of every single forum that i moderate, and im not going to give that up without a fight.

A couple things Emily. If the people can handle modding more than 1 forum, then they should be allowed. Most mods take pride in their work here and limiting it would not be wise, it would make people very angry.

The other thing is, this is still a peer-to-peer mentoring community. The mods are not the only people that give advice, and they are not the only people others listen to. If someone puts in good suggestions, they don't have to be a mod for people to listen to them.

I still think if there are people who are also capable of doing the job, they should have the chance too.

The chance is taken away when you close applications and people are mod-ing more than one forum.

People specialise in different areas of problems...like lets take Jess for example( ;) ) She moderates Sex Sex Sex, Teen Pregnancy, Relationships and Sexuality. This is because she is comfortable and knows a lot about them subjects to give advice to.

Plus she is capable of doing all of them jobs...so why should there be need for any more Moderators adding? If one person can fulfill the needs for moderating them forums why take on anymore? We don't want more mods than members, surely?

Moreover what if people pester all of the time to actually be mod - thinking they can do it, then they can't? Or what if you promote someone to mod and they try delete or mess with stuff....trust is earnt. What if they are freaks? LMFAO!! Sorry....but ya get me right?

Fair enough I understand that people DO want to be moderators...but what difference does it make? Does it mean they give better advice? Nope (no offense lol) Us members give just as good as advice. Moderators aren't people put on pedistools (or however you spell it) to stand out from the crowd and be heard. They are there to make sure the forum is running smoothly, making sure arguements or spam isn't there. Making sure posts are posted in the right forums. And that is basically it...not trying to say its easy because I am sure it is quite hard. What I am trying to say is whether you are a newbie, member, moderator, admin, super mod...you still can give GREAT advice.

The main aim is to HELP people...not get more power. :P

Back to the main topic...I think the mods are doing fine.:)

Oooh and I noticed fruitloop got promoted to Mod. Congrats sweetie.

I always read your posts...you are one wise bird. ;) Good luck with it. Heh.
~ Tell me all your problems & I'll try my best to kiss them all away ~

Now here you go again, you say you want your freedom

Well who am I to keep you down

It's only right that you should play the way you feel it

But listen carefully to the sound

Of your loneliness

Like a heartbeat drives you mad

In the stillness of remembering what you had

And what you lost

Well It's only me that wants to wrap around your dreams

I love you...

It depends if there are people out there who could be doing the job at the same level or better than a moderator who has 1+ forum. If there isn't, why fix something which isn't broken.

but paul, the forums without mods are those that dont especially need them. do you honestly think that suggestions needs a mod? and besides, admins wont let anyone mod this, this is for admins to mod (im pretty sure)

and does anyone need to moderate "allow myself.." ? seriously...you need to make some stronger points. i think that you are only saying this because you want to be a moderator (from what ive read in chit-chat) so why dont you just take this up with an admin?

Aaaactually... I think that "Suggestions" does need a mod. (I could care less about being a mod, it's not much different than being a member anyways, so thats not why I'm agreeing that they need one.)

They need one because: think of how many pointless suggestions there are, and think about how many arguments there have been in here. And there are rules that apply to "Suggestions" that people break, like begging the admins to let them be a mod or something like that... I just think it would be more convenient.
That's me in my avatar, wasn't I soooo cute!? (I still am, but... not AS cute, hehe, j/k :) )

I love you Langley!!!

Suggestions is modded by me mostly, but the other admins and supermods also can mod it.

To further elaborate on OverDrive's point...I'll simply add the Admin & SuperMod membergroups as group admins to them....I guess. I don't really see any need to since these membergroups don't need to be listed as a moderator to a forum to moderate them. The forums automatically recognize you're a supermod and/or admin and just say, hey full access to you, because I like you.
