Discussion: What makes a good day?

How can this be happening? Why is it always me? Do you ever ask yourself these questions or do you simply want to vent? Do it all here, we'll try to help.

A nice call from a good friend.

A good day at work (not stressful).

Hanging out with a friend or friends.

Eating a delicious meal.

Buying something I adore.

hm, all I can think of right now...
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Seeing a friend for coffee.

Cooking one of my favourite meals.

Taking a walk.

Sitting outdoors.

A cup of tea or glass of wine.

Chocolate.

Receiving a nice surprise (eg a letter, present, breakfast in bed).

Doing something nice to surprise someone.

Achieving a good days work.

Duvet days.
Woman can not live on tea or chocolate alone.... but she can give it a damn good try.

If you google 'duvet day' you'll find that its described as a common holiday allowance given by some companies. However, the definition I'm using is different.

A duvet day is often defined as spending all day on the sofa or in bed under the duvet (you guys seem to call them comforters in the USA) reading a book, watching TV, chatting on the phone or to a friend in person (if they're close and you want them to join you in your space!) drinking tea, etc. You can essentially call it laziness! (I'm having half a duvet day right now, on the sofa with a blanket, cushions, my laptop and TV).
