Stolen Pride

Post by empty_soul »

I will not listen to your fragile excuses

I do not believe your obvious lies

I see through that big glass house

Which harbours a cruel demon

Tore from my victim's eyes innocence

Raped from my virgin flesh happiness

Defiled my dreams of revenge with denial

Covered my lips to stifle my screams

I now cover my lips --to keep things out

to keep things inside the box

Layers of fat to hide my ugly soul

But skin and bones reveal my charade

What is wrong with this little girl?

She cries when someone touches her

She shivers when she is left alone

She huddles in her dark closet in tears

So many years since the pain

How dare she be so difficult?

Refuses to get better, refuses to smile

Doesn't pretend like she used to.
*The thing's that can help*

*the thing's that may heal*

*Are the flame or the blade*

*and the sting of the steel*

*The destruction of skin*

*means the death of your soul*

*But there's nowhere to run*

*when your living alone*
