Happy Yom Kippur

Post by CausticTears »

Happy Yom Kippur ( Happy new year ), Jewish folks. I hope this will be an easy fast for you all and a peaceful one. =)
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

Errrrrrrrrrr..... Yom Kippour isn't a happy day. It's a day of atonement.

But on a lighter and probably more offensive note, I was talking to a friend of mine who is Jewish last night, and she was explaining that you aren't just forgiven, but you need to seek forgiveness from people who you may have wronged. She asked me for my forgiveness for anything she may have done wrong to me. Me, in my typical offensive Cartman like ways said "Don't worry, I forgive you for being Jewish." I'm so going to hell. Don't worry, she thought it was funny.

Why give up, why give in?

It's not enough, it never is.

So I will go on until
the end.

We've become desolate.

It's not enough, it never
is.

But I will go on until the end.

I've lost my way.

I've lost my way, but I will go on until the end.

Living is
hard enough

Without you fucking up.

You're right, it is a day of atonement. I just didn't know how to word my Yom Kippur greeting.
