yes, its so inappropriate for people to do that in chat rooms that dont relate to what they are advertising. but otherwise, i would say that it was okay, they are advertising themselves for pleasure, and they usually get it. in this way its sort of like interactive porn.

Actually, cybering is definitely the safest way to explore your sexuality.

I play on an RPG where everyone uses a couple sentences to say what their character is doing, and you interact in real time and stuff, it's really cool.. well, anyways, a bunch of people do the equivalent of cyber on there, and it gets really descriptive and all. It definitely would be the safest way, because.. well, you'd have to play a game like it to understand, you can get really involved in plot and stuff. I've never personally done anything with roleplaying sex or such, but I can imagine it's rather steamy.
