Post by SnakeEyes2131 »

I am currently using a website for my email and i would like to use Microsoft outlook but i dont want to change my email address. Is there a way to configure Microsoft outlook to use my current email. I've tried setting it up but i just screwed it up. BTW i use cheatcc.com for my email.

From what I can see

incoming mail server: mail.cheatcc.mail.everyone.net

outgoing mail server: mail.cheatcc.mail.everyone.net

account/username - your email address

Other than that, you will have to play around with a couple of settings in outlook - outgoing authentication (probably needed)

The next thing is if it rejects your information, try first with "@", then "." then "+", then "%". These are the standard 'separators' for domain email.

Why not do a bit more reasearch on everyone.net (since that's where it is ultimately hosted) and try and search. This is only about 2 min of looking at the page.

I tried those settings but when i clicked test account settings it gave me two error messages. The first one said it was unable to connect the incomming mail server(POP3). The second one said it was unable to send test email because it was unable to connect to outgoing mail server(SMTP). I have no clue what to do dies anyone know how to help me??? :(

Don't rely on that Test Account settings button - it SELDOM WORKS. Rather simply try to send an email out to yourself

Otherwise, sorry, can't help
