Whistling

Post by candela »

Does anyone here whistle? if so do you or have you competed in whistling?

I whislte ALOT and most my mom and some of my friends hate it but im a rather good whistler because i learned how to like 6 years ago and have since become much better. i have about a 2 octave range and can whistle alot of patterns and music including classical, folk, and modern, bird calls, and other things i pick up. so my friend told me i should try doing it at a competition since im pretty good nad we saw a competition on TV and i would mock their whistle after they did it. so is anyone here has any experience or advice to offer it would be very much appreciated. thanks. and yes i do know im a nerd for liking whistling and thinking about competing in it. lol

Hmm. I have no experience that would be useful, I only whistle to call dogs, etc. I don't have a talent for it at all. Lol.

However, good luck.

I definately think you should whistle competitively. I love whistling, i think it is really cool. That might be partially becasue i cant whisle, it is really pathetic, cause i really cannot whistle. Not at all, i just sound like i am blowing on soup or somthing when i try. Well, back to you, you should definately do it. I think you will have tons of fun.
