Re: I Felt Him!
I'm glad you had such a cool experience at church. I love those. The ones that make you feel close to God. It's really nice, and I'm glad you had one!

Thats cool, though it sounds scary that you were crying and shaking. But experiences like that make you feel that at least you're not alone in your problems And you know G-d is there to guide you.

Re: I Felt Him!
That's happened to me before, which probably makes me even more screwed up for losing my faith in God.
But, it's an incredible experience, and I'm happy for you

You're not screwed up, Meg. You're HUMAN. Crazy isn't it?
We all have doubts. It's how you handle them that determines your level of faith.

Yes, of course, and faith is a hard thing to master, isn't it?
I would warn against emotional decisions in religion--they are especially difficult to reverse.

No, you're not screwed up...why, I remember my RE teacher telling the class I was in about how once she heard/felt G-d speaking to her when she was crying in the vestry, and she was really upset, and then a few months later, she lost her faith lol.

I was at this youth group and at the end when everyone is invited t pray at the front of the church i couldnt stop crying and shaking and they said it was heaven coming near...........it was so cool

While I've never been to church, or believe in "God" in the traditional sense. I wholly understand the joy and overwhelming nature of feeling connected with "the source" so I'm overjoyed and excited for you.

They felt god, apparently.
Anyways - although I'm not a spiritual person, I am happy for you.
Cheers,

Hahaha
I'd try to explain it, but... it's kind of like trying to explain an... well... hmm.
Nevermind I can't say.
It's hard to be described unless you experience it yourself.
I know you think we're all crazy Jenna, you don't have to say it.

Re: I Felt Him!
Well, it's just difficult to understand if you don't belong to the charismatic/pentecostal/evangelical tradition.
Having a famliy that is a new arrival to that tradition makes the experience seem...closer, but not really what I believe in.

Hello Adulthood!
The courage to serve them with reliance
Face my mistakes without defiance
Show them I'm worthy
And while I show them
I'll show me
So, let them bring on all their problems
I'll do better than my best
I have confidence they'll put me to the test
But I'll make them see I have confidence in me

It'd be like trying to explain an orgasm to a eunuch.
I'm happy for you.
