You're tossing and turning

A fever is burning

There's solace in letting out poison you hold



In your veins it rushes

As your hot face flushes

Knowing that lullaby will leave you cold



Still, it holds some hope

As you can't seem to cope

With the sickness that torments you, feeling so ill



Your mind is reeling

Some silence is feeling

Quite welcome, but the reward is not worth the bill



Comfort cannot come if your heart stands still
