Parents Expectations

Post by MaxPowerMrs » Wed Feb 05, 2003 10:19 am

Arghh, I'm stressing.

This year I have exams and everything right...and I was talking to my Dad and I said "yeah, I think I can do well" and he's like "I dont want you to well. I want you to be EXCELLENT. You're a smart girl, study hard and be excellent"

Grrrrrrrr and now I feel pressured to do well, because I hate disappointing him...but I want to do well for ME...why do parents have to expect so much. What if my best isn't good enough?? :(

<span style=\'font-family:Times\'Something told the wild geese

It was tine to go

Through the fields lay golden

Something wispered- "SNOW"

Leaves were green and stirring

Berries,luster-glossed

But beneath the warm feathers

Something cautioned- "FROST"

All the sagging orchards

Steamed With amber spice

But each wild breast stiffened

At rembered ice

Something told the wild geese

It was time to fly-

Summer sun was on their wings

Winter in their cry

as much as u want to do good for them, u have to realize that ur education is for urself not ur parents

so dont think of disappointing them, but think that if u dont do good ull only disappoint urself, and now ur faced with the reality.
Me: So do you like, HIM?

Rosca: No way, they suck. . .

Me: How can you say that, they're love METAL

Rosca: They ain't Metal!

Me: Well they probably get more women than we will ever in our lives combined

Rosca: Yea cause they're gay. . .

My parents were like that too...but you know what ...whatever you work for ...you work for it for YOU not them..even though they pressure you...screw them, it's only to motivate you but sometimes it can cause too much pressure, so just do YOUR best to make YOURSELF happy......and if they pressure you tell them to back off...simple as that
