Pregnancy Test

I had sex about 10 days ago. The condom slipped off as he pulled out. I'm planning to take a test, but the thing is, my period is typically irregular. I don't even remember when the last time I had my period was. All the tests say to wait until the day of your missed period, but I don't know when to expect a period anyway. If I have an irregular cycle in the first place and you take into account that a condom was used but slipped off, are my chances of becoming pregnant even slimmer? Should I even bother taking a test so soon?

have you thought about getting on the pill as back-up, i mean it is wise to always use a condom, but also good to have a backup... you dont even need to go as durastic as the pill maybe try spermicides?

I was on the pill but stopped because it gave me really long periods (like 2 weeks). But I'm thinking of going back on it, maybe I'll try a different brand.
