Love Songs

Post by PurplePoemPuppet » Sat Jan 18, 2003 6:33 pm

Haha, okay... It's starting to kick in now. My boyfriend is in Hawaii and I'm really starting to miss him. I think what i really need is some good mushy, gushy, sappy love songs that make you all sad, and happy, and all tingly inside at the same time. Any good ones you can think up. I like some 80's songs and early 90's... but any 'classic' or just plain good mushy songs, I'd appreciate them. (*sigh* I'm a sap)

I'm looking for generally slow slongs, but anything that gets your emotions going. Haha, I'm loving the suggestions so far *looks at Dustin* Any ideas just keep 'em coming. I'll just share ideas I have in my head at the moment...

Hungry Eyes-- from Dirty Dancing

Now I've had the time of my life-- again, Dirty Dancing

(Hmm... might as well say Dirty Dancing Soundtrack)

I will always love you-- Whitney Houston

Some Creed

Ope... now the brain is stuck. Help me out here :)

Hmm... I like Nine Days, anything that reminds me of my boyfriend.

Let's see what sappy love songs I have downloaded. *runs down the list* This could take a while.

-Ain't No Mountain High Enough - The Temptations (Sorry, I'm a dork. I like this one. But it's a classic!)

-Colour My World - Chicago (Another classic!)

-Crazy - Nine Days

-Dance With You - Live

-Everlong - Foo Fighters

-Everything's Not Lost - Coldplay (Not really a love song, but it kind of stirs the emotion.. for me anyways)

-Faithfully - Journey

-Glory of Love - Chicago (Or the NFG cover if you prefer)

-I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing - Aerosmith

-I Loved You All Along - Our Lady Peace

-I Wanna Hold Your Hand - Beatles

-If I Am - Nine Days

-Iris - Goo Goo Dolls

-Just Died In Your Arms Tonight - Journey

-Just Remember - Sister Hazel

-Not Myself - John Mayer

-Open Arms - Journey

-Revolve - Nine Days

-Stand By Me - There's millions of versions

-Wanna Be - Nine Days

-Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

-Wonderful Tonight - Eric Clapton

-You Make Me So Very Happy - Blood, Sweat, and Tears

-Your Body Is A Wonderland - John Mayer

Sure I didn't catch 'em all. Oh well. Note, that while these aren't all love songs; they all get me all sappy-emotional feeling. Some may appeal to you, some may not. Ah well. I don't listen to a lot of them often. Now I'm either going to go to sleep and hope this unusually high dossage of sappy music wears off, or listen to some hard rock and redeem myself. Yeah. :P

Best love song in the entire world:

Yellow by Coldplay
You breathe the strangest twist

upon your lips, "and we shall be together..."
