I have been trying to change my avatar for about a week... and everytime i load my new avatar... the anamation doesnt work.... i cleared my cookies and everything... i even tried a different avatar.... and it just doesnt work.... i dont want to be stuck with this avatar its getting old :'(

why cant i change my avatar?

It's probably your browsers cache. What browser do you use?

OMG a BUNCH of ones i was trying to load today didnt work for me, so im stuck with this one. sooo not cool

Try loading them on to photobucket though it might work then?

Well, i just checked. It's not the server because I just changed my avatar and it worked fine.

It has to be something client side.

I just tried uploading, some worked, others didnt, could it possible be the .gif or .jpg?

Try a different avatar? Try reducing the size of the avatar you wish to upload, and make sure it's a gif or jpg

umm they are jpg... and i have tried diff avatars... none of my animated avatar works...

Might want to check the file-size like he said. Although they do allow for fairly large sizes on this forum. But still, you never know.

mine wont change either. it'll either make my avatar now... bigger or smaller. even when i type in a diff. file name. so... yeah. what's goin on?

Well it didnt chage yesterday but when I signed on this morning it was different. So... I guess it worked and my computer is just stupid or something

Yep. Most likely a cache issue. Your cache must be set to update very slowly.

Are you on a dial-up maybe? Cache limits are usually set pretty weirdly on those.
