River Of Red

Post by Halo_n_Horns » Fri Jul 28, 2006 1:51 pm

River of red, running across white.

Trickling through the day,

Gushing through the night.

Smell of success, filling the air.

A stinging, attacking breeze,

Spreads scarlet against fair.

Waterfall of red, flowing over snow.

Wild rapids, churning pools,

No where else for the stream to go.

River of red, it runs and runs,

Easing each curve, passing each bend,

River of red, begins to thin

It begins to dry up, and so it ends.

I like that. It's very deep and expressive. I can totally get the feel of what you're talking about. Although, it's not a happy subject... it's still very nice.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
