G-d is not a man, that He should be deceitful, nor a son of man that He should change His mind. (Numbers 23:19)

The fear of the L-RD is the beginning of knowledge; foolish ones scorn wisdom and discipline. (Proverbs 1:7)

The beginning of wisdom is to aquire wisdom; from your every acquisition acquire understanding. (Proverbs 4:7)

Well, actually, one can be Christian and have a Unitarian theological perspective on this doctrine, but I appreciate your commentary.

However, I am interested as to your theological persuasion--what exactly do you believe in?

I've read and reread your post so many times I've only confused myself so I'm just going to tell you what I understand, believe and all...anywho.

I am...Prodastant(sp?) but take my views a little tword Pentecostal(sp?).

The only way I really understand and get through this is:

1) In the TCs, it says that we shouldn't worship any other 'god' than "Me"(God). Which in English, that is singular(1).

2) The Lord's Prayer. In the prayer, it's stated as singular not several or a couple.

"Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

Your Kingdom come.

Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

As we forgive our bebtors.

And do not led us into temptation,

but deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the

power and the glory forever. Amen."

3)As I understand it, He's one God, just takes 3 different forms.

Heh. I hope this is understandable.

Okay, without trying to disparage your theological beliefs...

You argue that because of the Ten Commandments and the Lord's Prayer, the Trinity exists. Unfortunately, what you are quoting from these sacred texts is exactly my point--that these prayers are directed towards God the Father.

Here, if God is one thing, but has three parts... let's call him an apple for analogy's sake.

So, according to your line of reasoning:

God = Jesus = Holy Spirit, hence God = Holy Spirit, Jesus = Holy Spirit, and Jesus = God.

Okay, so if we apply that to the apple (one thing, three parts...)

Skin = Fruit = Core? I don't think so!

There's something that cannot be done here--you cannot ascribe to one entity three separate identities and still call it one entity.

I don't mean to rag on Pentecostalism, but this is what emtional theology, in my opinion, does. It takes out the theological basis for belief in favor of simple platitudes. Read my objections. Think them over. And then argue against me.

Thank you. :)

Umm...I'm not saying that the trinity exists. I'm saying it does NOT.

I'm agreeing with you. =/

I'm just saying that he TAKES ON 3 different forms.

I wasn't arguing, but, thanks for the attitude. I just loved it. :)... or not.

I'm in the process of converting (Orthodox) to Judaism.

OMG ITS EUGENE! I hope that's okay that I said your name... but hey. I guess I don't need to comment here since you already know what I'm about.

I have a feeling you may spend a lot of time in this specific forum?

Of course it's okay... as long as everyone knows that KELLY is leaving me messages.

However, you're free to comment. I've always loved how insightful you are in defending actual Biblical FAITH.

Hey, do you want to get together sometime and talk about this sort of thing? I mean without all the professorial trappings.

Haha, thanks for commenting on my post, it was a long one... and I just put up another one!

No, you'd beat me because, well, I admit to not being good at arguments and I give up easily. You're too good at it. Plus I don't know as much as you may think about Biblical discussion.
