What makes you so sure about that?
G-d is not a man, that He should be deceitful, nor a son of man that He should change His mind. (Numbers 23:19)

The fear of the L-RD is the beginning of knowledge; foolish ones scorn wisdom and discipline. (Proverbs 1:7)

The beginning of wisdom is to aquire wisdom; from your every acquisition acquire understanding. (Proverbs 4:7)

I voted yes.

Porn warps people's minds and emotions. It destroy people's respect for others and more importantly their respect for themselves. It destroys the mature respectful attitude toward people and sexuality. Porn is sleazy and lustful, it appeals to our base basic animal tendencies. Lust is a deadly sin.

Sure Ive looked at porn before. But I noticed what I was doing was wrong and addicting, so I didnt continue.

I find the picture in your sig ironic, then.

I'm not judging you by your sig, I'm just saying it's a pretty racy picture for someone who says pornography warps people's minds.

ok how can porn be addicting?

i mean there are times when you want to look at it, but i don't think that it can get to a point of addiction...i mean i get bored w/ it...once you make out or do something w/ a real person, porn isn't as interesting...

i mean i know there are porn-help-groups, but for the average person, i wouldn't classify it as "addicting", you know?

How is that not wrong? Getting jealous of other peoples things can bring tension with that relationship and can bring forth hate. You can also begin to be attached to material posessions, which is both wrong and "a sin." Religion can be shown in everyday life easily, theres alot of logic in it. Its not just the religions opinion. Even then, Sure it MAY be a sin, but its a way less serious sin. There are different types of sins you know... Its not that this sin is equal to murder.

By the way, sorry for taking your thread so off topic.

you are making a mountian out of a mole-hill...

it is a sin to walk by someones house and say "ohh i like that colour of their siding, i wish i had that sideing" or to say "wow, i love that shirt"...its envying others possestions, and its a sin...

i don't think people will go as insane as you make it sound they will by like ripping the siding off of their hows and putting it on your own, or stealing that shirt from the store...

you know what i mean? you are putting things way out of proportion

Theres really no point to argue if porn is addicting or not(though I am really shocked that you said that.) The average person can definitely get addicted to it. You think all these people who get addicted to it are different or special? Search google for 'porn addiction,' u'll get your answers there. How would porn be a 12.0 billion dollar industry here in the US if it wasnt addicting. The industry makes there money off that addiction.

After hearing you say that, I dont think id really be surprised if you said ciggerettes arnt addicting.

Jesus may have been the son of G-d, but he WAS a human, and no human is perfect. Was it not Jesus who told his followers to 'kill those who are not of the same religion, even if they are in the same family'. For someone who agreed that murder was a horrific sin and also said we should 'Love thy neighbour' and 'turn the other cheek', Jesus did a hell of a lot of criticising, though he did say 'he without sin may cast the first stone.' Jesus had his faults because thats what humans have-faults.

Yeah porn to a degree is addicting, but its not to a point of alcohol, gambeling, or smoking...

I dunno, maybe its just because i don't know anyone or have any relation to addiction of that sort, but i don't think its as addicting...

I dunno...i mean there are self-help groups for it and shit, but im not 100% sure it is classified as an actual addiction

I dont understand why you stick by these opinions with yours without any evidense or backing at all. Sure my reasons arnt the best, they are actually logical and intelligant. Anything can be classified as an addiction. How is pornography any different? Its probably pretty high up on the list. You never cease to amaze me.

I am not saying that you are wrong...im just saying that porn is not as a severe addiction as alcohol or anything like that...

i mean yeah it can be addicting to sertain people, but an addiction like that is not as severe as someone addicted to drugs/alcohol/gambelling, etc

I hope I interpreted your post correctly. If not, I apologise. (My brain isn't quite awake yet).

Why bother doing research? Well, lets face it, I could say that all apples are blue, just because it seems like its right. If I said that, I would be very ignorant.... Research is there for a reason, and a good one at that.

Take care,

hun, even if i found proof you would say the site i found it at was biased...you, like me, are very opinionated and not viable to change at any given time...

we are the same personality with different spectrum opinions...

i could search for proof of this, but you would say it was a biased sourse, so im not going to waste me time...

Thats not true at all. That is a terrible excuse. I am stubborn, but I am very reasonable. Four, Doug and Jaegermeister have proved me wrong before and Ive accepted it. You never argue with any proof of any sort. I prove my points to you, cant you be nice and do the same for me? I want to see your websites that proof pornography isnt addicting.
