About a year ago, i took my road test to get my license, however, i failed, i was extremely dissappointed, i cried on the way home, i was so nervous taking the test, my aunt said i had and anxiety attack, plus my test giver was a inferal old woman, well since then, i seldom drive, i am almost afraid to drive, i think mostly afraid of making mistakes, is anyone the same way?

No, not about driving. I passed my first try.
But I understand where you are coming from. I had bad experiences with jobs (I worked as a camp counsellor when I was 16 and took a different position when I was 18). Anyway, I was bad at my job the first time, and I was nervous to apply to it ever again. The second camp job was with the same camps in general but I was in a different position, working under someone different and I thought I would do well. Since I didn't do so well (nervousness and anxiety), I haven't really talked to my old boss and also am not applying for those jobs again (even if they said they'd rehire me with a new interview and more confidence and experience)
So ya, I'm avoiding those things because they scare the heck out of me. And now I am afraid that any job I will have I will mess up.
I feel for you. Don't be scared of the road. Maybe in a few weeks you'll get back on it and feel comfortable.

I haven't went to take my driver's test yet, but when I do, I can pretty much guarantee that I'll flip out and have an anxiety attack. I'll probably be shaking so much that I won't be able to drive, so yeah.

Re: I S Anyone Else Like This?
When I took my driving test I had a panic attack. I was so on edge I had to use hypnosis before just to be able to get myself ready to go, I could barely even dress myself properly lol. The examiner was kind about my anxieties though, and even put the window down for me I was overheating so much lol. I was shaking so hard I couldn't sign the papers at the end, my feet went numb on the pedals... The lot.
The fact is, failing your driving test these days isn't hard. I know of two people (myself and my friend) out of everyone I know who have passed first time, and it's becoming stricter and stricter. You can take the test again, and this time work on your nerves to help you get through it with a clear mind. If you know why you failed, you could work on that aspect of your driving too.
I almost had an accident (I say almost, it was a potential accident) on a roundabout when I started learning. Now I absolutely adore driving and drive at every concievable opportunity but after this just thinking about driving made me feel sick because I was scared I'd make a mistake like that again (and consequently every time I pass that roundabout I get scared again) but it took going out and practising again and showing myself that I was a good driver to get me back on the roads! Have faith in yourself!
I think it's ok to make mistakes as long as you learn from them

Driving's a scary thing to a lot of people. I'm afraid to drive too, but you'll be fine. You'll get used to it eventually and it will be NOTHING to you, I promise.
