ok where to start...
well i've been dating this guy named Tyler...well he has low self esteem because of his exs..they've all left him for someone else...well he believes he is ugly and fat. and that i am way to beautiful for him. he is not fat and is really handsome. he has a wonderful personality..and i am constantly dissagreeing with him when he says things bad about himself. it doesn't seem to be working, and i don't know what else i can do. he says it makes him feel better to be with someone that is as wonderful as me...but i want to be able to help him. i want him to see himself the way i see him.
does anyone have any advice or suggestions? if so, please post...it will really help.
thankyou!!

Re: My Boyfriend
I guess all you can do is constantly remind him that you care and how wonderful you think he is. When you see him wrap your arms around him and say, "Hiya handsome".
Or something like that.
Keep reminding him that he's wonderful and you love him.
Soon he'll start to believe it too.
xo.

Re: My Boyfriend
well we had a talk tonight, and it ended up being about our feelings for each other and why we had them. well i normally have a problem saying how i feel. but when he looks me in the eyes, i just feel so comfortable. as if i can do anything. i'm really starting to believe i love him. and i told him that. and i believe things are getting better with how he sees himself. i tell him how handsome i think he is a lot but not constantly because that tends to get annoying, or atleast i think so when someone keeps telling me im pretty. but i think that's helping, thanks Hannah.

Woo go you for dating younger guys!!! (
Everytime he starts to say something bad about himself, just shut him up. cover his mouth, whatever you need to do lol. Don't let him even reinforce himself by hearing those words come out of his mouth. If you keep telling him positive things, after awhile, he will come to start believing them.
Either do that, or just really ask him how he can think he is ugly (and then proceed to point out all the beautiful qualities that he has)
Goodluck
