today is national haiku day in the u.s.
for those of you who don't remember this from the poem unit in fourth grade, a haiku has five syllables on the first line, seven on the second, and five on the third. they generally try to paint a picture.
the most infamous example is:
haikus are easy
but sometimes they don't make sense
refrigerator.
so my question is: anyone else have a good haiku?
