I need inspiration but I don't know where to get it

Everything I tend to write is already an idea that someone else has thought of. I want to write my own ideas but I have none and cannot seem to find the inspiration for originality...Is anyone in the same boat as I? Thanks for your help!

Maybe take a walk to your local park and bring a notebook along? Look around for a few hours.. just take some time really taking in the scenery and maybe you can get some inspiration from that?

it just seems that every time I read a book or watch a movie, I accidentily twist their story into my own....thats so unoriginal. Like...if I read a sad book that actually makes me cry, I would want to write a book just as emotional but I can never think of my own stuff...its weird and I suck lol

You don't suck.. you just haven't found something original to inspire you yet. Give it time and try and find a good quiet place where you can sit and think and write down some ideas

I wish I could but unfortunately....I have a room mate :-/

It just seems that every time I write, I either write something that everyone has heard of before and it sounds like, "I did this, we did that. We went here. My mom was mad." Like...I've been writing my WHOLE life and now it just seems like I'm doing it all wrong. It's almost as if I'm not digging deep enough in my heart for anything anymore....=[
