Banning People...

Post by =^-^=GrungeGirl=^-^= »

Hi,

I have a question about banning people.

(i wasn't sure where to put this)

Well i've noticed a few people who have been banned and i've noticed alot of people saying they were banned for no reason, my question is do you get banned for any reason other than breaking the rules? like maybe for not helping many people or for being in the entertainment or chit-chat forums more than the help ones?

Just curious.

its for breaking the rules, and being a threat to others. alot of ppl who are banned, are mad about it and cant ADMIT they did something wrong. that is why they say they 'dont know why they were banned'

aw hun no you cannot be banned by not helpin out alot of people and hangin around the entertainment forums.

the only way youll be banned is if you break the rules or disrespect someone in anyway on the site ;)

dont worry we dont ban ppl just because they dont help, or they hang out in chitchat and stuff

everyone who has been banned has had a reason as to why they were banned ;)

Heh, thanks.

I was wondering about that because a long while back i remember coming to this site and some girl named helen (i think) was banning people for not helping out (or so i heard) so when i read about people being banned for no reason, i thought it was tue.

Anyway thanks for clearing that up. :D

New administration of the site. Helen is banned as per a 6/0 vote by our admins.

No you cannot be banned for doing nothing

IF you dont follow the rules, you get chances...

Edits of post first

then a pm by either the mods/supermods/admins

TEMP BAN of 2 weeks

once unbanned,

edits of posts firsts

then a pm by either the mods/supermods/admins

PERMANENT BAN

AS you can see, we give many chances for people to act in a proper manor in accordance to our rules which are common sence.

I agree with She.

ESPECIALLY since half the time my post are taken offensively when there is clearly nothign offensivy about it!

I would just like to be told why. Because its like erasing our opinion like it doesn't even matter. Kind of rude.

My thing here is: I agree once again. Sometimes I'm afraid of writing what I feel on here because I'm afraid someone is gonna end up spazzing on me. Then I feel down when I can't write what I want. Please people, take our opinions as though we care...if that's how they're intended. Don't yell at us or start please? We're only goin for what we think and not meanly either.

Don't watch your back about stating your opinion. State it all you want. As long as you follow the rules you're good. Don't be scared of the admins, please. :P <3

Yes. And while I'm here I'd like to dispute my warning, given a few days ago by Kiyotie.

My post was on a topic by Hamburger Man, about how his girlfriend was late for her period or something.

I said something along the lines of "Girls are late for their period all the time (blah blah blah)" and then "But there really shouldn't be anything to worry about, should there?"

Kiyotie then edited my post, after quoting it and not editing hers (heh), and told me that "some people CARE about their girlfriends".

What I meant was, he should have been using protection. But there she went assuming the worst, and when I took her up on it, I ended up with a fucking warning. Nicely done Kiyotie.

Anyhow, just wanted to bring that up. I was less than pleased by getting a warning for something that was actually innocent.

That was my fault, not Kiyotes.

The way you used the smiley and said "you shouldn't really be worrying about that should you?" led me to think you were just being offensive. As you have a record for being on these groups.

Okay. How about, if you're not sure, ASK THE USER first? One girl got bitched at by about twenty different people after asking if stretch marks would cause her to be percieved as less attractive, and they all misinterpretted it. It happens all the time. Please, mods, ASK. Sometimes it is obvious. But don't just act on first instinct all the time. If the person doesn't respond quickly enough get a second or third opinion.

I don't remember 100%.

But, er, I never really use them? Ever? And it sounds very much like you're trying to aggravate me.

And what I find strange is the fact you're not even being slightly apologetic. You're at fault here and pretty much gave me that warning for nothing at all, yet there's not even a hint of "sorry" in either of your posts. Even if you do want me gone, and it definitely sounds like you do, this isn't the way to go about it. Just because you have a personal dislike of me doesn't mean you can just pretend it didn't happen.
