I Don't Care, You Shouldn't Either.

I'm like seriously so sick of people. I don't want to be set up, I'm not asexual, I'm not lonley, and I don't need a boyfriend to make my life complete right now. I'm basically just venting because I end up having these people talk to me, I don't want to be stuck together with someone. If I'm going to have a relationship, it's just going to happen. Then I end up having to talk to these guys, who are practically brainless jocks. I have yet to find someone who I'm even remotely interested in having a relationship with, but that's besides the point. They're nice, but then I end up feeling like "oh man, now I have to live up to what they might think I am," but I shouldn't even have to feel like that. Then I hear... "so, do you like him? he's cute! he's nice! WHY don't you like him? do you like ANY GUYS?!" People are so dumb. I'm not going to go out with any guy, a guy I don't feel comfortable around, someone I can't even talk to, someone who I'm even attracted to. What's wrong with that?

My friend just keeps saying "why do you refuse all these guys?" but I'm seriously SO frusterated because she just doesn't even get it. I don't know why I'm posting this, maybe because I feel fine with myself, and I don't want people to bring that down. I don't want to be forced to hang out with these people that I don't know, that will be making advancements that I don't want. Ughhh...

This makes NO sense, I'm sorry. Not even to me, so yeah.. good luck. I'm just pissssed off because I'm fine, I hate how everything is everyone else's business. I don't even know what to do about it, theres nothing TO do.

Yeah I hate it when people are like that towards me too. I remember earlier this year my friend had just had sex for the first time, and then was asking me "Why don't you have sex? It's good!". And she started questioning me about why me and my boyfriend haven't had sex yet. It was annoying.

I know it's really not the same situation, but I can see where you're coming from. Don't let others make you feel like that though, they don't understand, and there's really nothing at all you can do about it.

That can be really annoying and frustrating when we're under 'peer pressure' to have a bf, even if we don't want to or need one to be happy.

I never had a bf until I was 17, and four years before that my old friends did that to me too (made me think I wanted a bf, though I didn't).

Honestly you don't need a bf to be happy, and sometimes friends, especially at ages like 14 and 15, are really into the idea of dating because it is new. Plus, boys at that age are usually immature.

Tell your friend that you are not interested in a bf now and you don't have to be. Besides, why compromise your happiness to go out with some immature jock?

Just my opinion. You seem mature compared to your friends if they are pressuring you to date.

Hi Shwynsh!! :)

What you said makes PERFECT SENSE to ME!!

Do you know what your 'condition' is called? It's something not many teenagers have. [let alone adults] It's a rare 'condition' called 'having self respect'!!

Hang on to that 'condition' as if your life depends upon doing so. [because sometimes - for some people - it does]

GREAT BIG HUG

Craig!! :)
