another question....

is it normal to have slight pain in the vaginal area every once in awhile? i think i've had it before, and it only lasts a few days, but it's worrying me now. it doesn't itch so it's not a yeast infection, but i don't know what it is and it's worrying me. any help??

Pain out of nowhere is never normal. Is it near a significant phase of your menstrual cycle like ovulation or menstruation? Have you had sex lately?

If you can't figure out what it is, it is better to just go to the doctor to be on the safe side...
