So I have what seems like a complex situation going on right now... I am 18, my girlfriend is 17, me and her have been together for 6 months, and lately it just seems like shes more distant, more quick to get off the phone, and just generally different, everything all started when she started going back to school on monday (I'm no longer in school), me and her spent everyday together and a few nights from her christmas break (which was on the 20th of dec until the 5th of jan) and everything was fine, I don't get whats going on, I know shes not cheating on me or with anyone else, and most likely not even interested in anyone else, this is my only real serious relationship ever, so I'm not exactly clear if the relationship is suppose to cool down after this long.
But either way, she just seems more distant and different acting lately, and it feels like I'm losing her but I don't know. I really do love her, and I don't want this relationship to end, and I know if something was seriously wrong she'd say something about it to me.
another thing thats gonna sound stupid/make me look bad, is I always worry shes going to find someone else, despite her telling me shes completely happy in the relationship, and I always worry when shes at school that she'll meet someone else. Is all of this just me worrying and over-analyzing things? Sorry for the long un-orgaized rant, I just needed to kind of vent too.
Not sure whats going on...

Things may jus tbe cooling off a little bit - that does happen naturally in relationships because of your bodys biology, that the "OMG" factor kind of cools off after about 6 or 7 months, which is about where you are. However, it's just something that you have to push through.
Is there any way you could ask her about this? In my experience, it really is best just to get your concerns out in the open, and have her reassure you one way or another.
Also, the insecurities may be pushing her away just a little bit, if you express them to her too often. With my girlfriend, she's worried about the same thing - that I'll find someone else. No matter HOW many times I reassure her, she's still insecure, and it makes me wonder about myself - what kind of girlfriend does she think I am if she thinks I'll leave her at the drop of a hat? It's good to talk about insecurities, but if it's at the point where she's reassured you over and over again, she might be getting a little frustrated. So if you keep needing reassurance, you may want to just try telling yourself that she is dedicated to you and not to worry quite so much.

Friend,
You don't sound stupid, the fact that you are concerned about losing her shows that you truly care for her and want to remain in the relationship.
From your post, it sounds like you may just need to giver her a bit of space for a while. Since she just started school she is most likely busier then she was over break, and obviously can't spend as much time with you, on the phone or otherwise. People also go through phases where they just need some "me" time and more space.
Along with giving her some space, just be sure to let her know that you love her. If she doesn't warm back up after a while, you should have a talk with her, and let her know how you feel.

Re: Not sure whats going on...
I agree with Fizz and Innocence. This is the point in you relationship where the, as she said, "OMG" factor, kinda cools down a bit. However, it doesnt necessarily mean things are comming to an end. She could be feeling overwhelmed or a little busy, so the best thing I would recommend is what fizz said, just give her a little space and see how things play out. If you feel like she's trying to push away a little bit, let her do it, so that she doesnt feel as if you are bothering her too much.
Blame it on the yellow bananas..they just sit there..all..yellow-like!!
