Screw Stereotypes And Society!

Post by Gambit006 »

errr i hate the fact that i always think im fat or ugly or something like that. fuck all those damn sterotypes. i was watchign some woman comedian on comedy central the other day and she was talking about how women hold themselves to "impossibly high standards of beauty". so true!!! i hate it...so fuck it all! lol. everyone is beautiful in their own way, so BE HAPPY! lol, sorry, im on some kinda weird good mood thing today...so just thought id share this with everyone. :P
You know when you're sitting on a chair and you lean back so you're just on two legs then you lean too far and you almost fall over but at the last second you catch yourself? I feel like that all the time.

christina makes me sick because she is abusing the new generation of anorexic, self harming teenagers who are just by-products of a perfection-seeking society.

we can't get rid of stereotypes. we need stereotypes for society to function, without them we wouldn't have any sort of "sorting" system for people. without a "sorting" system for people, we don't know who we would get along with and who to avoid.. it'd just be chaos.

i do agree with you on the beauty thing though. its a subjective thing, what is beautiful to one person is ugly to another.

as cliche as it may sound.....i dont believe in the physical appearance system of "sorting" people. once you get to know someone...then you can "sort" them out. the least physically attractive person may have the best personality and you'd never know it if you based all ur judgements on their appearance.

I totally agree with that. I don't really care for looks in guys - okay maybe that is a lie because to a certain extent you do - everyone does. You have to find a person you like who you are attracted to physically and emotionally. But all of the guys I like aren't good looking to my friends. Infact I am known to pick some of the most ugliest guys ever - they are ugly to my friends but to me I think they are so beautiful. So yeah looks aren't everything.

I think some beauty models are ugly personally. Some of them are like sticks!!! I mean Euwww. If I was a guy I would must rather have a person with curves rather than someone who you'd be afraid incase they snapped in two.

Beauty is within and I find everyone beautiful and attractive in their own ways but unless that beauty is opened up to show everyone no-one else will know about it. Well thats what I think anyway...call me a loser or geek whatever - yeah I'm a freak *lol*

I am not happy with my body I admit I mean yep there are some things I would love to change but who cares? It's not like I'm going to. Someone out there will love me for who I am, and for who you are (if you haven't already found that person/s) Don't put yourself down all of the time - concentrate on your good points. Think about features of yourself you wouldn't like to change for the world... :D It'll make you feel so much better :P
~ Tell me all your problems & I'll try my best to kiss them all away ~

Now here you go again, you say you want your freedom

Well who am I to keep you down

It's only right that you should play the way you feel it

But listen carefully to the sound

Of your loneliness

Like a heartbeat drives you mad

In the stillness of remembering what you had

And what you lost

Well It's only me that wants to wrap around your dreams

I love you...

the way human beings work though, we don't get to know everybody who we encounter every single day.. i.e. people we walk past on the street. subconsciously we branch them into little groups (punk, goth, loser, freak.. whatever..) and this enables us to form a clearer picture of the world.

with a lot of work and effort you might be able to CHANGE some stereotypes, unfortunately the image of a healthy woman is imprinted in our minds as one which isn't ~that~ overweight and has large breasts (adequate for feeding babies).

sorry, thats the way we were made.

everyone is beautiful in their own way
What always discourages me is just finding that one person (soul mate, i guess) who will see me that way <_<
Whatever our failings may be, we need not lower our eyes in the presence of Jesus...Jesus comes not for the super-spiritual but for the wobbly and the weak-kneed who know they don't have it all together, and who are not too proud to accept the handout of amazing grace. As we glance up, we are astonished to find the eyes of Jesus open with wonder, deep with understanding, and gentle with compassion.
